The full cost

What makes up the total

  • The contribution or investment

The main amount: a donation to a national fund, or an investment such as approved property that you keep and can later sell.

  • Government fees

Application, processing, certificate and passport fees. Most are charged per person, so they grow with your family.

  • Due diligence

The background checks each government runs, usually charged per person and often higher for adults than for children.

  • Professional fees

The licensed agent's fee for preparing and submitting your application. It is not set by the government, so ask for it in writing.

  • Costs in the UAE

Police clearance, attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, translations and couriers. Our document checklist names the issuing body for each.

  • Family size

Some programmes price their main contribution per household, others add an amount for each dependant. Parents and adult children usually cost more than young children.

Questions people ask

Why is the full cost higher than the starting price?

The starting price is only the government's minimum contribution or investment for one person on the main route. Government fees, due diligence for each family member, passport fees and your agent's professional fee come on top.

What will the estimate include?

The government amounts for each person in your family on the route you choose, taken from the published fee schedules, with the agent's own fees listed separately.

Is the estimate binding?

No. It is prepared from the published government fee schedules for your family, plus the agent's own fees, so you can compare before deciding.
